ABOUT US
Worktall is a British family business built around a simple idea: make working at height easier, faster and more practical.
The company was founded by father and son, Jeff and Gareth Williams, combining decades of hands-on experience with a determination to create something genuinely useful for the trades.
Jeff spent his working life in the building industry. After years on site, he understood first-hand the everyday frustrations tradespeople face — particularly the constant need to climb up and down ladders, move platforms and reposition equipment when working on ceilings and high walls.
That experience led to the development of Worktall.
Rather than simply accepting the traditional way of doing things, Jeff set about creating a lightweight alternative that would allow tradespeople to move freely while working at height. The result was the Worktall boot: a lightweight polypropylene working stilt designed for plasterers, decorators, painters, dryliners and other trades who need extra height without sacrificing mobility.
Today, Gareth runs Worktall full-time, taking the original invention and building it into a growing business supplying customers across the UK and beyond.
Worktall boots are protected by a UK patent through to 2038, and the business has grown largely through one thing above everything else: tradespeople using the product and recommending it to others.
We are still a small family-run company, and we intend to keep the values that got us here — practical products, fair pricing, straightforward service and listening to the people who actually use our products on site.
For us, Worktall is more than a product. It is something our family has built together, from an idea born out of decades in the trade into a product now used by working professionals every day.
And we are only getting started.
